What Will You Learn at
Problem-solving Leadership?

People sometimes ask us, “What exactly will I learn at PSL?”

Unlike classes that teach specific concrete skills—a programming language for example—we don’t have a checklist of expected learnings.

We emphasize the process of learning, exploration, and individual understanding. We focus on problem-solving, critical thinking, making use of available information.

We encourage people to connect new information with their existing knowledge base. We guide creating knowledge through experience and interaction.

Here are some of the things we explore in PSL:

  • The value of information
  • How to ask more effective questions.
  • What contributes to effective team work
  • How to influence the factors that support teamwork—even when you are a member of that team.
  • How to lead without positional authority

Everyone comes from a different place in their career, with different needs, and different hopes and wishes. You’ll connect new information with your existing knowledge and experiences.

We can’t predict what insights you will discover about yourself, how you show up, and how you lead. Those insights will be as unique as you. You may learn about your blind spots, gain insight into how other people see you, or try on new approaches.

We can predict that you’ll have a chance to learn more about seeing and influencing systems. And you do it with an amazing group of people—because great people participate in PSL!
